“No Address” in Theaters 2/28 (& Giveaway Ends 3/7)

Many thanks to Robert Craig Films for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

In theaters starting February 28th

Inspired by true events, NO ADDRESS follows the harrowing journey of Lauren, a young woman pushed onto the streets and forced to survive against all odds. Alongside a makeshift family of outcasts—each with their own haunting story of struggle and loss—Lauren discovers that home is not just a place, but the people who refuse to let you fall.

Featuring powerhouse performances from Lucas Jade Zumann, Beverly D’Angelo, Isabella Ferreira, William Baldwin, Xander Berkeley, Ty Pennington, Kristannna Loken, Patricia Velasquez, and GRAMMY® Award-winning Singer/Songwriter & actress, Ashanti, NO ADDRESS  is a gripping journey of living without walls and rising above them.

I wasn’t sure about this movie as it is not my typical genre I watch but it is a really good movie. I feel like everywhere there are homeless people popping up more and more and my area near Chicago is no different. I actually live in a suburb outside Chicago and we have a lot of homeless people camping out. This movie shows how the characters ended up homeless and how they are not all addicted to alcohol or drugs.

The movie is family-friendly as there are no swear words or inappropriate scenes but there is one scene where someone is brought back from an overdose by paramedics, no drugs are shown. I had my 16-year-old son watch it with me and he was surprised on the circumstances of the characters. It is an uncomfortable movie but one that is good to humble us who have a home.

Between 2022 and 2023, street-level homelessness increased 12% nationwide, if this rate continues, street-level homelessness will double in 5-6 years.

Nearly 1 in 3 foster youth in California face homelessness after leaving the child welfare system.
