Now I am by no means a health freak or organic nut. I love junk food and I do not buy just organic. I want boy my boys to grow up strong and healthy, I mean what mom doesn’t! So with my second child just turning 6 months last month, I again started my solid food quest. I am lucky with Gavin as he is a big baby and very good eater, but I figured organic food worked with my first and I am sticking to it. With my search for organic kids choices I realized there was not a big selection, until I found the company Happy Baby.
Happy Baby believes that a healthy baby is a “Happy Baby” and I truly believe that. Happy Baby makes premium organic meals that are a convenient and reasonably priced. To start off feeding your child they have HappyBellies organic dry cereal line available in brown rice, oatmeal, and multi-grain. It is the first of its kind on the market to contain probiotics and DHA. What are probiotics you may be asking? Well they are “friendly bacteria” that live in your intestines and help your immune system fight off harmful disease-causing bacteria. Yogurt and breast milk are common products that contains probiotics and it is recommended to consume probiotics daily.
Next comes my favorite which we just started using a few weeks ago: Happy Baby fresh frozen meals. They come in 14 distinct flavors in 8 different packages and come in real neat individual packages similar to an ice cube tray. What you do is break apart how many frozen flavor cubes you want and then just warm them up and mix them either together or with cereal if you want. My son loves the oatmeal cereal with a cube of Purer Pear. The packages come with 12 one-ounce cubes with half being a vegatable or meat and the other half a fruit combination.
Now since my son is just about 7 months we have not tried the chunkier ones yet, but all the rest my son loves and never fights me to eat! The best part is my 24 month old is trying some of this food and loving it too! He wants to try everything I give the baby so let him share some but his favorite is definitely the Happy Baby Organic Puffs. (The Puffs are not yet available in stores but Happy Baby was nice enough to send me some to try.) The Puffs are a finger food like Cheerios but they melt in the baby’s mouth. They are similar to Gerber and Beechnut puffs but contain 40% more and have half the amount of sugar. They provide a good source of Iron, Vitamin D, Calcium, and B Vitamins and made with whole grains and organic fruits and vegetables. We have only tried these on my older son as he is a snacker and I feel better having him snack on these. Also, the Puffs are for crawlers and kids who are learning to pick up their own food. The flavors available are Apple, Banana, and Greens and they contain NO dairy, corn or soy.
You are probably wondering where do you find Happy Baby? Well you can visit the Happy Baby website and check the store locator which also tells you which items the stores carry, but as far as chain stores the following stores carry Happy Baby: Super Target, Babies R Us, Whole Foods, Albertsons, Kroger, Publix, Meijer, and Amazon.Com. The items retail for around $3-$4 a package.

Hi! Someone in my Facebook group shared this site with us so I came to check it out. I'm definitely enjoying the information. I'm book-marking and will be tweeting this to my followers! Wonderful blog and amazing style and design.
I use the brown rice Happy Bellies for our son now 7 months - he was preemie and has had "digestive issues" from birth - I swear this cereal is one of the only things that actually helped. We also put the cereal in fruits/veggies since it seems to help him digest those too. Can't wait to try some of the other products soon.
I love the Smarter Squash and Wiser Apple frozen meal!
My son LOVES Happy Baby - he started on Happy Bellies oatmeal at 7 months, and we've tried a number of the frozen cubes. I think the baby dhal is his favorite, thoug I'm partial to great greens (yep, I tried it!)
My daughter would love gobble, gobble and paradise puree.
I like the Great Greens Smarter Squash and Wiser Apple.
