Munchie Mug – Review and Giveaway!!!! (Ends. 2/9)

So I was thrilled when my son, Aidan, became old enough to eat by himself and pick out his own snacks, but then came the messes! Everywhere I found Teddy Grahams and goldfish crackers, under the couch, in the couch, in the toybox, in the toys! I finally found this container from Gerber that a child is supposed to put their hand in and pull out the snacks from this rubber flap. Well it was completely useless! My son could still hold it upside down and shake all the snacks out! Then there are the times when we are in public and I wish I could give him something without the store clerks giving me dirty looks because my son is dumping food all over their floor!

So my quest continued for a container that was Aidan-proof. Now granted any container I find yes my son could still take the snacks out and throw them on the ground or leave them places, but I am taking it one step at a time. I then came across Munchie Mug and was intrigued and new I must have it. So I got a Munchie Mug and filled it will Teddy Grahams and gave it to Aidan. At first he was curious yet scared to put his hand inside to retrieve the Teddies but he was determined. I held my breath and he only took out one and ate it, then repeated. Yes!!!! He was taking out one at a time and not making a mess! We tested out this mug the whole weekend and so far so good and Aidan loves it and I think feels a little more independent.

So what exactly is a Munchie Mug? Well it is a 5 inch tall, 16 oz. mug that not only comes with a top to get snacks out of but there is also a re-sealable top so your snacks don’t get stale!

Here are some more specs about the Munchie Mug:

  • 100% made in the USA
  • 100% made of FDA food grade approved materials and #5 BPA-free
  • 100% recyclable
  • Easy to clean and top rack dishwasher sage
  • Soft fabric enclosure (this is what the child reaches thru to retrieve snacks)
  • Great for dried fruit, cereal and crackers (and Teddy Grahams!)
  • You also don’t have to worry about the cup opening easily by your child as it has locking threads that keep it tight
  • There is also a slot where a child can carry it by or you can attach it to something
  • Retails for $12.95 plus $3 for shipping – Great Price for what it will save you in the long run of useless containers and plastic baggies!
