Tiny Living Review

Do you ever feel like you don’t have enough room in your house? I do, all the time! You see the house we are living in was actually an investment house that we rehabbed and due to the wonderful housing market being what it is we moved in here. Luckily our old house sold to the first lookers. I mean the house we are living in is cute and everything is fresh and new, but it is too small for two kids. The one room that we couldn’t really do much with is the bathroom downstairs. It is tiny, and when I say tiny put it this way: you can soak your feet in the tub while you sit on the toilet! There is also a pedestal sink and only a medicine cabinet, so forget about storage.

In my quest for storage, I came across the website Tiny Living which has some of the coolest products out there! Tiny Living was created by a husband and wife team who lived in New York City’s cramped apartments. Now people from everywhere are finding just what they need at Tiny Living to maximize their space and still have it look nice. Which by the way if there is a product they are missing, they are always open to suggestions!

Tiny Living was generous then to give me their shower curtain with pockets to review. First off this curtain is great and can be used facing in or faced out! It is a durable clear vinyl so it can be used either alone or with a fabric curtain. The best feature though is the seven white mesh pockets for storage. In case your wondering too the curtain is 70” x 72” which was just right for my shower. Oh and of course it is specially treated to help resist mildew!

So what did I use it for? Well the possibilities really are endless, but as a mom of two you can imagine how many bath toys we have. I was able to organize the toys and then use the top pockets for the soap. I love that I can just toss the toys in and since the pockets are mesh, the toys will dry fine. My 25 month old loves that he can see all his toys and he just points to which pocket he wants toys from. Before we had this suction cup corner basket that never stayed and the toys just piled and piled in it until it would fall into the tub.

Other than moms with tub toy issues, I could see this being awesome for college apartments, I know my bathroom was small and I shared it with another girl. This way we each could have had 3-4 pockets. Another way it would be nice is if you faced it out and had no counter space (like my pedestal sink issue) then you could put your makeup, hairbrush, lotion, or any other items you usually place on your sink countertop. Of course too it would be nice faced in to hold your razors, bath wash, pumice, body brush, and anything else you need handy in the shower!

To show you just how small our bathroom is, here are some pictures of it and the wonderful Tiny Living shower curtain:

Now that I raved about there shower curtain, I wanted to quickly ramble off a few other favorites. For only $3.95 they have a piece called a Faucet Fountain which turns any faucet into a drinking fountain. How cool would this be for those midnight trips to the bathroom to get some water or for your kids to rinse when brushing! No germy cups to worry about! Another fave is their Over the Tank Toliet Paper and Magazine Holder, which is a great all in one piece perfect when you have limited floor space. Oh and the Faucet Caddy to keep your kitchen sponge in the sink but hanging from your faucet. I could go on and on about their neat products, but really you need to see for yourself!

Curious about this Shower Curtain with Pockets ($19.95) or any of there other products?
