I won a SmartShopper and I love it!

Finally after all the contests I have entered, it has finally paid off. I won a SmartShopper!! Thank you so much to Lee from My Sentiment Exactlee! When I got the email I still hestiated to get excited because I have won contest before that I either never received the prize or it took forever. Nope not with this contest, I got my SmartShopper in a manner of days! I have been eyeing this wonderful organizer since I first saw it, and now I have one!

Okay I am so sorry if I am making you jealous, this is just the best contest prize that I have won. I have to tell you though it is definetly worth the money and I am thinking this would make a great gift for my mom for her birthday.

In case you don’t know what the SmartShopper is, let me explain. It is a nifty organizer that has a magnetic back and you snap it to your fridge or mount it wherever you would like. It takes 4 “AA” batteries and it is always on. What you do is push the “Record” button and then the screen says “Speak” and you say the item, such as “eggs.” Now when I said “eggs” on the screen it showed “eggs,” “cheese,” and “none.” I then selected “eggs” and it added it to my list. At any moment in time I can glance at my SmartShopper and see my list and scroll through it.

Features:

  • Includes over 2,500 items in SmartShoppers library; however, if an item is not listed you can add it. I haven’t had to do this one yet.
  • Organizes your lists into categories so you shop much more efficiently.
  • Can also be used to list your errands (post office, bank…)
  • Has an internal thermal printer that is ink-free so no ink cartridges to replace. You do have to eventually replace the paper, but 3 rolls are included.
  • Super easy to use. It needs no instructions – put in batteries and you are ready. Definetly perfect for anyone whether they are techie or not!
(I know my grocery list is small as I didn’t need much!)

Overall, I love this because with an infant and a toddler this saves me so much time and money. Time because I just click “Print” when I am ready to go to the store and I have my list. Also, because I am not zig-zagging all over the store for items. I save money because I buy what is on my list and not much more. Before I would write lists but either forget them or I couldn’t find them. I tried those magnetic notepads on my fridge and they always fell off, with the SmartShopper it is always there and the magnets are actually built into it so they can’t fall off. The only con for me is that you can’t say brand names, for example you can only say “hot dogs” but sometimes a particular brand is on sale and I want to remember that one. Although you can designiate if you have a coupon for an item, so I guess that would work for it too. Now I can’t imagine not speaking my grocery list and printing it out!
