Grow-A-Head Review & Giveaway-3 Winners! (Ends 4/15)- US/Canada only

So since the outdoorsy side of me is itching to get out, and with the weather in Chicago being what it is, I decided to think about indoor plants. While searching around I came across a company called “Grow-A-Head” and they sell the cutest little products. Grow-A-Heads are a seeded head that comes in a small vase and all you have to do is add water. Yes, it is that easy! After about a week, your Grow-A-Head will sprout hair that your child (or you!) can then cut as they please. Want a Mohawk, pigtails, side-comb over, no problem! Also, the hair (grass) will grow back if you make a mistake so you can change it up again in a few days!

Grow-A-Heads come in all different varieties so there is one for everyone in your life. Some of the characters themes are “Marine Life,” “Bugs”, “Pets,” “Wildlife,” “Buddies,” and more are coming soon. One that is coming soon that I think is neat is one where “Bloomers” sprout from the head to form flowers. These creatures retail for $10 and can be purchased at the Grow-A-Head website, Gamers Paradise stores, and other local stores. I really think these guys would make a great gift for anyone, especially if they are fond of a certain animal or if they don’t have any grass of their own.

I love this little head so much and it definitely cheers me up as I stand at the sick for what feels like all day doing dishes. I have the Elephant Grow-A-Head sitting on my window sill as it does need some sunlight to grow. Basically these little heads are similar to Chia Pets, but they are much easier to set up and you can have so much more fun with them. (Chia Pets require spreading seeds, while the Grow-A-Heads are already all put together.)

Each Grow-A-Head is handcrafted of natural ingredients, including coconut fiber and peat moss that germinates the seeded rye grass. These cute heads are appropriate for ages 5 and up, but Aidan (2) loves it. He checks out in every morning to see how the elephant’s hair has grown and always smiles at it! Oh and if you are worried about your child trying to eat it, they are non-toxic.

The Grow-A-Heads also make wonderful educational tools for children who are learning about grass and plant life. They can be used to display how once water is added, a series of complex organic processes is set into action. Then the Grow-A-Head can be referenced to discuss plant anatomy, germination, transpiration, and photosynthesis. So yes it is not only fun but also educational!

Grow-A-Heads are also sprouting up everywhere and even celebrities have taken to them, such as Ne-Yo, Chris Daughtry, Martha Cox, and Jason Cross.
