GelaSkins Review: Love them!

We are technology addicts in our household, and with all the nice shiny toys we have, we need protection. By protection I of course mean screen protectors and covers. I am especially concerned with my laptop and my iPod Touch because I use both a lot, especially around the kids. While looking around for cool ways to protect my toys, I came across GelaSkins.

GelaSkins are removable covers for protecting and customizing portable devices, such as iPods, MAC laptops, PC laptops, cell phones (iPhone, Blackberry, and Razr), gaming devices (PSP, Nintendo DS) and netbooks. I have actually never heard of an item like GelaSkins, as they are a thin film-like layer for those that don’t want bulky case protectors. And in today’s society, most parents, especially bloggers, have a least one item that they could customize. GelaSkins are designed from artists all over the world to produce amazing, photo-quality graphics ranging from art prints to funky images! Not only will your items now be protected but they will also stand out and reflect who you are!

With a patented 3M adhesive that prevents air bubbles from forming, GelaSkins are easy to apply and don’t leave any residue on your items. You can reposition and play around until you get the perfect fit, and it really is easy to stick it on properly. I was able to perfectly get the GelaSkins on my iPod Touch and MAC Laptop on the first tries. So no more scratches for me, as GelaSkins provides a durable anti-scratch, anti-UV coating for your items. My husband was also excited because the GelaSkin does not interfere with him docking my iPod on our alarm clock.

GelaSkins are basically my new best friend! They protect my favorite items, make me look good, and show off my personality! My only problem with GelaSkins is that there are so many awesome designs to choose from that I had a hard time picking out my favorites! I also love the GelaScreens they make to protect the screen on my iPod touch. Every iPod and Blackberry GelaSkin comes with a GelaScreen display protector, except of course the iPod Touch. I was able to check out one of those too and it really completed my iPod Touch once I had my GelaSkin on. Mine luckily isn’t scratched, but some users have noticed that previous scratches are now less noticeable when they applied a GelaScreen.

So what did I think of the GelaSkins and GelaScreens I tried, I love them! I was able to apply the skins to both my iPod and MacBook perfectly and I had no air bubbles. I did lift them and re-apply to see if it worked, and I had no problem. Since my laptop is white and boring, I love how GelaSkins made my laptop more unique and more me! I love that I can change my skins to reflect my personality and they really are so easy to use! Oh and best of all is the extra protection the skins provides my items from scratches and they make them easier to find and distinguish. The GelaScreens I tried on my iPod Touch also went on with ease and is the best screen I have ever used. It is smooth to touch and protect my screen from little finger smudges and scratches!

So if you are like me and want to protect your shiny expensive toys, then I highly recommend GelaSkins! I have yet to find a flaw and there are so many designs to choose from that it would be hard not to find a favorite!
