Wiki has a pretty cool new Meetings Database called inTheRooms. Currently the database contains InTheRooms Meetings listings for Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Gamblers Anonymous (GA), Overeaters Anonymous (OA), and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings. Wiki has created this database to allow members to help manage the most accurate meeting database online. Now I personally don’t have a reason for using this database but I can definitely see how helpful it can be as It is organized and seems accurate.
InTheRooms is one of the top recovery sites on the web so far. Why call it “inTheRooms?” Well since most addiction groups are anonymous, if you ran into a person from a group in public you can say you met them “in the rooms” instead of AA. Basically it is a user community for you to make revisions to meetings and moderators will review and approve. You will not only be helping yourself but helping others in need of locating meetings in the area get the help they need.
The meetings are listed by country and state. Since this is a new database it is nowhere near complete and not every state has a listing yet. It is a growing database though and it is slowly coming along. I recommend this to anyone that attends these meetings and is looking for help finding and organizing them.
