MckLinky Blog Hoppin: Encouragement

Okay so this McKLinky Blog Hopping Tour is about “Encouragement” and I am posting a picture of each of my healthy boys, that remind me each day that with the love and help of others we can get through anything!

Aidan (29 months) was born with a heart defect and at 4 months had open heart surgery to fix him up. It was a rough few months and not something we expected, especially with our first child. But we made it through it and everyday I get to see him flourish and grow. We actually just had a cardiologist appointment last week and the doctor said if it wasn’t for his scar then you wouldn’t even know he had heart surgery! As a side note, he may need another surgery, but we won’t know until he is between ages 6-10 years old and we see how his valve grows with him.

Gavin (12 months) was born 4 weeks early and even though he was born at 8 lbs., he still was considered a preemie since his lungs weren’t fully developed. So he didn’t get to come home until 9 days after he was born. He too is growing perfectly and doing great now!
