Wanchai Ferry Review & Giveaway (Ends 9/1)

So since we just moved 3 weeks ago, I am still not organized and ready to break out my culinary talents (yeah right!) I have cooked but I haven’t gotten creative yet or broke out the cookbooks, which I have no excuse now not to use since I have a gigantic kitchen! So anyways, we have been having easy meals, grilling, and frozen entrees mainly.

Well thanks to MyBlogSpark, I received the new Wanchai Ferry frozen entree – Orange Chicken – to try out. I have never actually purchased Wanchai Ferry before as I have never had good luck with frozen Chinese food. Well their Orange Chicken is delicious! It comes with battered white meat chicken, broccoli, carrots and baby corn in a zesty orange sauce over a bed of jasmine rice. Oh and let me say that the jasmine rice was awesome! The only flaw is that it says it is for 2 people but the packet of chicken you receive is maybe 1-2 small chicken breasts cut up so you may want to add more chicken or cook something in addition to this entrée. For example, I was feeding myself, my husband, my 11 year old sister, my 2 year old and my 1 year old and I made two of these bags and was left with no leftovers. For the cost though it is still cheaper than going to a Chinese restaurant or ordering take out.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the taste and quality of the ingredients. I loved to how easy it was to cook and that it only took 14 minutes! Not an Orange Chicken fan, try their Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, or Sweet & Spicy Shrimp. They all sound yummy to me!
