The four kids menu dishes really should satisfy any kids appetite and the menu is printed on an adorable booklet with lots of activities to do and color. The choices include: Kids Chicken, Lo Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, and Baby Buddha’s Feast. So to get a little of both worlds, I got Aidan the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Gavin the Baby Buddha’s Feast. Then I split them between the two kids as there was plenty of food as the chicken had a decent amount of chicken for a kid and the Buddha’s Feast included snap peas, carrots and broccoli either steamed or stir-fried. I added some brown rice to each of their plates and they were in heaven! I can’t even remember the last time they ate so good, especially at a restaurant where they are usually too excited to eat. I wish I would have taken a picture of all of the food we got, but my camera is broken and that is another blog post!
Oh and not only were they happy with their meals, but Doug and I also ate ourselves into a food coma! I ordered the Mongolian Beef (which is a popular dish there) and Doug got the Chengdu Spiced Lamb. Both meals came with plenty of meat and huge bowls of rice. It was also nice how it was served on big platters so we could share, like that was going to happen! Our dishes were also reasonably priced at about $15 each and contained enough meat that we had leftovers for lunch the next day.
Overall, I highly recommend P.F. Chang’s for your next family meal. Their prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes and even our kids love it! When I say our kids love it, that is a big deal because they are picky and impossible when eating, especially at a restaurant. Oh and I highly suggest trying the brown rice as it had such a great taste and I am pretty sure it is healthier than the white rice.
