Check out these awesome Pretend Play Kitchens!

For my son’s first birthday we decided to get him a play kitchen and thought it would be an easy purchase. Well we were wrong. I went to Toys R Us and they only had about 5 to choose from and they were all pretty bland. Well if you are in the market for a play kitchen, I just found the most adorable play kitchen ever, and best of all it’s wood and not plastic! Something about wooden toys, I think, make the toy last longer and look nicer.

The KidKraft Grand Gourmet Corner Kitchen is not only made of a sturdy wood construction but it is also a corner model so you get more play room without taking up more room! First off though I must mention this kitchen is for a girl as it is a beautiful pink design that even has matching pink curtains! It is toys like this that make me wish I also had a girl!

So the KidKraft Grand Gourmet Kitchen has so many features I don’t even know where to start and I can’t imagine a girl getting bored with it! Since this toy is wooden, it does not have any electronic gadgets on it, so no batteries. This kitchen encourages children to use their imagination and pretend, and I think is a nice break from electronics. Too many toys these days take batteries that sometimes I think toy companies compete to see how many electronic buttons they can squeeze onto a toy.

This kitchen comes with all the appliances so kids can really pretend to do things like mom and dad, including: Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, and a Freezer. The doors on the oven and microwave are even see-through so your child can watch their food “cooking!” With knows on the oven and sink it makes the appliances seem realistic and the kitchen sink is also removable for quick and easy cleanings. The kitchen comes with 4 metal accessories that are a pot, pan, and two spatulas, which you can hang from hooks on the kitchen! Even though this kitchen has hooks to hang a few items, there is storage on the bottom and the refrigerator is pretty big that you can fit all your play food in.

Perfect for children ages 2 to 6, I think any child would love to have this dreamy grand kitchen. It is also large enough that a few children can play together at once as it measures 36.22″W x 12.32″D x 36.02″H. I love too how there is even a phone on the side as no kitchen is complete without a phone! That this kitchen has matching pink curtains is also adorable!

Overall, I love how cute and large this kitchen is and the best part is the price. Yes it is near $200 but I paid $100 for a small plastic kitchen that doesn’t even have half the appliances this one does! It is also perfect for small areas as it fits snug in a corner. This is also the newest model kitchen released by Kidkraft.
