Evenflo New Smart Steps Products Review: Love Them!

Feeding my sons is always a constant struggle not just because they can be picky eaters but also because sometimes I am rushing to feed them. Well to make feeding a little easier (or at least a little more fun) Evenflo has come out with a toddler feeding line called Smart Steps. Evenflo is offering it as a solution to encourage lifelong healthy eating habits.

The entire line is BPA free which is definitely nice that I don’t have to worry about. I also love how the line is bright, colorful, and mostly dishwasher / microwaveable safe. I received three products of the Smart Steps line to review and I am impressed.

The Snack Stackers comes with 3 bright and colorful snack containers perfect for small meals and snacks. I love these are just the perfect size for snacks on the go and I keep them in my diaper bag. You can stack these bowls for easy storage and for more stability (especially if you child is eating on the go) you can attach the lid to the base of the bowl.

You can also buy Magic Labels to use on the Snack Stackers that are pretty cool. The labels dissolve in water and you can write on them with pen or marker. These are perfect for notes to a babysitter or just to remind yourself what’s in them! Oh and they come in an easy to use dispenser box.
The Smart Steps Insulated Cup is a larger cup so it is more so for an older toddler between 1 and 3 years old. The best feature is the innovative neoprene sleeve, which keeps drinks cool or warm longer. There are also easy grip handles incorporated into the sleeve. When I am out I toss this cup in my diaper bag with the hygienic spout cover and I don’t have to worry about spills or germs. I also love the size as it is a 14-ounce cup. My little guy (16 months) loves it, but he is used to sippy cups with a straw so it is an adjustment to drink from this cup since you have to tip it like a regular sippy cup.
Finally, I got to review the Smart Steps Discovery Spoons. These spoons are perfect for when you are just starting to feed your infant, but my son loves it because it is easier for him to use to feed himself. It is shallow so it doesn’t encourage overfeeding and it is soft-sided so it doesn’t bother his teeth or gums. These spoons come in packs of two.

The Smart Steps line is currently available to purchase at Babies R Us, Burlington and HEB, but will be available at Wal-Mart stores nationwide beginning in January 2010.
