Automoblox Cars Review

My son loves two things the most: cars and building blocks. Well Automoblox puts it best when they say “Building Blocks. Cars and trucks. Shape sorter and puzzles. These toys have stood the test of time – captivating children as efficiently today as they have for decodes.” Automoblox has taken the elements children love out of each of those to create a fresh line of modular wooden vehicles that children can easily snap together themselves.

You can also be rest assured that they cars do have some educational value! The Automoblox designer, Patrick Calello, worked with leading child development psychologists to create a play experience where children can also learn. Children will learn Visio-Spatial Processing (working with shapes and putting pieces together), Creative Problem Solving (encourages originality, flexibility, independence through building the cars), and Gross and Fine Motor Skills (works with sensory and motor abilities with finger dexterity and speed of motor movements.) I think it is wonderful that this much thought was put into a toy! Automoblox has also received numerous awards!

I received the C9R mini three pack for my son and he loves them, so much he actually takes one to bed every night! The cars are very durable, fun, and easy for kids ages 3 and up. At first when I saw that they come in pieces, I didn’t think my almost 3 year could figure it out, but sure enough, he snapped the pieces together correctly to build his three cars. The best part is that all the pieces are interchangeable so you can mix up the colors and designs! I cannot believe I have not heard of Automoblox before, and I am sure I will forever indebted to them for creating these wonderful cars.

Aidan just sits at the kitchen table and puts them together, drives them around the table, takes them apart, and repeats. It is amazing how much he loves them, and I love them because they are simple yet safe. The only thing I have to worry about is the tires are small and my 17 month old like to try to eat them! I let Aidan play with them though and then we put them in a Ziploc bag until he wants them again.

Other than cars, Automoblox also makes adorable SUV’s and trucks. I am sure Aidan will be asking for more soon and I also like that if we do misplace a piece I can order whatever part I need at the Automoblox website. The website also has a bunch of other cool feautres, such as Coloring Pages and a section to Register your Automoblox. By registering your cards, you will become a member in the Automoblox Owners Club with special privileges such as Cool, free stuff from Automoblox, Early notification of new styles, and access to limited edition products not available to the general public.
