MY REVIEW:

As a stay at home mom, I do plan on eventually returning to work so I do try to keep up with what is
going on in the world. Before kids, I worked retail as an associate to manager, and then I worked for a bank from teller manager to auditor. I did go to college and graduates with a B.S. Operations Management, which is basically a vague business degree. Since I am a book lover, I do enjoy books on business and books with career advice.

The book “Where the Jobs are Now” by Joe Watson, is a really informative book that is great whether you are looking at entering the job Market for the first time, changing careers, or curious about the fastest growing industries. It goes into depth over where the jobs are now giving statistics and percentages. The back of the book is full of great websites regarding scholarships, businesses, and other career-focused websites.

Now I know for some people it may be too late to change careers or change their education focus, but this book really points people in the right direction using great points and reasons. It is really trying to help people find a long and lucrative career, that will be around for a while! There are even chapters on Entrepreneurship and Recession-Proof Jobs. The author is actually a CEO of Without Excuses, which is a professional development company and has been featured on many television shows (including The Today Show, CBS Early Show, CNN, FOX News, and PBS.)  I think too that this would be an awesome book for someone entering college not sure what they want to do.  I do not believe people should take a job just because there is money in it, but if one of the careers in this book sparks your interest, then why not follow it!

BUY IT: You can buy “Where the Jobs Are Now” at your local bookstore or find it at Amazon!
