With tax season in full swing, I just wanted to remind everyone that are either Buying First Home or those who have not owned a home in the last three years, that you can receive $8,000 via a 2010 Homebuyer Tax Credit! Yes it is not just for first-time homebuyers but now people that are looking to upsize, downsize, or just relocate. I think personally that is awesome, because so many people don’t qualify for the credit since they are not first time buyers, but now they can get rewarded anyways. My husband and I missed out on this opportunity when we bought our first house and didn’t qualify for this either since we owned a house in-between, but it is such a great offer that I would hate for anyone to miss out on it!
Homebuyer Program details:
• For first-time homebuyers, or those who have not owned a home in the last three years, can receive up to an $8000 tax credit.
• Homebuyers who have lived in their current home consecutively for 5 of the past 8 years can receive up to a $6500 tax credit when purchasing a home.
