The kit is called “Shrinky Dinks – I Heart You Cards” and comes with everything to make 12 Valentines Day cards embellished with adorable, genuine Shrinky Dinks charms. You receive 12 cards, envelopes, ribbon, colored pencils, and Shrinky Dinks film perfect for Valentine’s Day or any occasion where you want to say “I Love You!”
This kit as with most of the Creativity for Kids kits is perfect for parents and kids to work on together. It is a great family activity and there is plenty of supplies so everyone can express their creativity! The kit does state it is for ages 7 to 97, but it is really perfect for any kid old enough to color, with supervision of course! I mean all you have to do is have your kids color the Shrinky Dinks and then you bake them and then everyone decorates!
Now I admit this kit does look a little girly, but honestly my 3 year old and 18 month old sons didn’t mind. I also think the family we send the cards too are going to love them and cherish them! It is going to be cute too to show them the cards when they are older, especially to embarrass them in front of future girlfriends! I admit our favorite part is watching the Shrinky Dinks shrink and seeing how they change. I also don’t think these have to be for Valentines Day at all as it does not say Valentines Day anywhere in the kit, all the charms are hearts, flowers, cupcakes and more. Anyone who receives these cards would also love how they were handmade. As with all the other Creativity for Kid Kits it is also comprised of high quality materials.
