Holey Donuts Review (Love them!) & Giveaway!

My weakness is sweets, particularly donuts. I could eat a whole box myself, which is why I am happy (but sad) that the Krispy Kreme donut shop closed down by me or I would be three times my size! I am boring though and my favorite is the frosted with sprinkles donuts, I am not a big fan of the ones with filling inside because I hate getting the gooey cream all over me!

Anways, so donuts are a special treat for me, but now thanks to Holey Donuts, I can eat donuts anytime I want! They specialize in Low-Fat Gourmet donuts without all the fat and calories of regular deep fried donuts. Now I admit at first I was skeptical and thought the donuts would be blah. I mean healthy food items usually don’t taste nearly as good as the regular items, boy was I wrong! The donuts from Holey Donuts are absolutely amazing! They are light but filling and delicious and best of all they are around 3-4 grams of fat (150-250 calories) compared to 12-15 grams of fat in typical donuts! On the boxes they even compare their cinnamon buns to Cinnabon and I won’t even tell you what the difference is there (it’s bad!)

Now I was also skeptical about the donuts being frozen, but after popping them in the microwave for about 10 seconds, they are ready to eat! Right now I am typing as fast as I can because I told myself that I can have one only after I finish my blog posts! They are honestly that delicious!

Here is the catch, since they are gourmet and shipped frozen they are expensive. About $2 per donut plus shipping which is $20-$30 but you do need to buy a minimum of 3 boxes. So basically 3 boxes would cost you around $60 and there are 6 donuts in each box (4 if you are getting the cinnamon buns.) Shipping is so expenisve because they have to ship them with dry ice to keep them frozen and they have to arrive within 2 days to still be good.  Here is the good part, Holey Donuts runs awesome specials all the time and you can find out about them on their Facebook page and newsletter.
