ABOUT THE APP:

– Two modes for twice the fun

–A fun and colorful world for your tot to interact with

–Teaches your child the names of the objects from the world around them while they’re having fun too

There is a Free version available but this paid version has more places to explore as well as other “purchase” specific content.

Coming Soon:  New “Match” game mode that will test your kid’s memory using the objects they find while exploring.

MY THOUGHTS:

So when I first opened Tot Explorer I thought it looked a little cheesy, the graphics are not the greatest but they are simple.  Then when I started playing around with the game I realized it is an awesome App.  First off, there is so much to do and learn from this App.  First you choose to Learn or Explore and there are tons of different scenes to pick from such as a park, face, space, campsite, birthday party and more!

In Explore you choose between ten different scenes (or a random one will pop up)  featuring some animals or items and a child will ask “Can you find the Turtle?”  Then when you click on it, you hear encouraging words.  In Explore it shows a house and says something like “Can you touch the chimney?”  It shows the word at the bottom of the screen so your child sees it and then can associate it with the item.

I really love this app for my son because it is showing the word and the item.  I love the child’s voice used and the encouraging words.  It really is adorable and for $0.99 you can’t go wrong!  There is also a lot to explore and learn so Aidan has yet to get bored with it.

BUY IT: You can buy Tot Explorer for your iPhone or iPod Touch for $0.99 at the iTunes store.

  • I don't have an iPod or an iPhone - I know, I know...get with the 21st century, girl! My kiddos have been bugging me for one ever since they saw one of their friends playing with on. I might just have to break down and do it. There's so much good stuff out there!
