Googly Bands Review

ABOUT:

Googly Bands are the hottest collectibles since Beanie Babies.  Tweens are gathering them by the hundreds, especially the rare styles.  Googly Bands are very affordable (several dollars cheaper for 12 then most online and specialty store distributors!)  and make for a great birthday bag stuffers, end of year gifts or just because gifts!

Googly Bands care about the environment.  Their packaging is made from OPP material, which is recyclable and creates less waste.  The bands themselves are made from 100% silicone so they won’t pull on your hair during wear.

Googly Bands are available at most major retailers including Walmart and Walgreens.  New styles are in production non-stop.

Starting June 1st and running until July 18, 2010, Imperial is accepting submission for the first ever Googly Band Design Contest!  Top ten band designs will be posted on googlybands.com.  Other Googly Band fans will get a chance to narrow down the top 10 designs to the top 3 designs by voting on googlybands.com.  Imperial will select the final winning design eligible for development and a $50 gift card!  For more information visit Googlybands.com

MY THOUGHTS:

I remember the Beanie Baby phase, along with all the other items I had to have, and I definitely see why Googly Bands are popular.  They are super bright, flexible, unisex, and come in different shapes!  I honestly had no idea what they were when I received them until I saw one of my 12 year old sister friends with a whole arm full of them.  She could not believe I hadn’t heard of them before and went into showing me each one she had.

I received two packages of Googly Bands to check out:  Musical Instruments and Farm Animals.  I let my 3 year old wear them but I have a feeling my 12 year old sister is going to steal them from him!  They are pretty cool though as they go back into their shape once you take them off and I bet they would look really cool under a black light!  I can see why kids trade them too as I know what it is like to have to have all the different shapes!  They are pretty small though and definitely for younger kids as they didn’t fit my fat wrist!  They are available in 7 exciting styles: Cars, Musical Instruments, Zoo Animals, Farm Animals, Alphabets, Sea Creatures, and Dinosaurs.

BUY IT: You can find Googly Bands at Walmart, Toys R Us, Walgreens, Supervalu, Publix, Rite Aid, and Christmas Tree Shops.  They sell out quickly so you may want to call before you may the trip!

Mama’s Money Savers Disclosure:  I was sent samples to review.  This review is 100% my opinion and I was not compensated in any other way.
