MY THOUGHTS:

Okay so before we moved in there were 7+ college-aged guys renting our house.  It definitely had a funk, including the washing machine.  So when we moved in, I bleached the heck out of whatever I could, washing machine included.  Well I just learned that bleach doesn’t necessarily wipe away all the dirt and grim but can just temporarily cover it up, while afresh Washer Cleaner actually dissolves, penetrates, and reduces odor-causing residue.  What I really like though is that it also cleans the washing machine tub, hoses, and pumps, while the Grit Grabber (comes in the afresh Washer Cleaner Kit) is a grabber to really scrub the dirt away.  The Power Puck tablets can be used in all washers, once a month and if you have a HE washer then the afresh Washer Cleaner kit is a good choice because it comes with the Grit Grabber.  Overall, I feel a lot better about my washing machine and no more funk in there!

Next I tackled my garbage disposal since that was definitely in worse shape than my dishwasher.  The affresh Dishwasher & Disposal Cleaner works great.   I tossed one in my sink for the garbage disposal and within 30 minutes my sink was fresh smelling and not grimy anymore.  Normally I use lemons, but they don’t last long while the affresh cleaner recommends using it once a month.  My kitchen smells better already!  I can’t wait to try this out on my dishwasher, I am just waiting because my husband already tested something in there so I am waiting until that is done.  Our dishwasher is also newer so it is not too bad, but our dishwasher I am sure could have benefits from a good scrubbing tablet!  This tablet also cleans the hoses and pumps which are nice because you never know what is building up back there!  The product is also safe for septic tanks. dishwashers, disposals and plumbing.  I recommend trying out the affresh products because even if you can’t see something doesn’t mean its not there and mold & mildew especially can be lurking in your hoses or other small crevices.
