Chili’s Restaurant (New Menu) Review

ABOUT:

Chili’s has been peppering things up since 1975.  Starting as a small burger Dallas burger joint, Chili’s now has restaurants all over the world as they continue to cook up casual fare with genuine service.

MY THOUGHTS:

Okay so I absolutely love Chili’s and the best part is that my boys for some reason are typically good there too.  I think the hitch is the unlimited chips and salsa, which we always seem to eat almost two bowls of!  I actually can’t even think of a time I have gone to Chili’s and not ordered the chips and salsa!

Another good aspect about Chili’s is that they do change up the menu every now and then to bring back old favorites and introduce new items.  Well just recently Chili’s did a menu change and I got to go check them out!

Okay so I for the appetizer we obviously had the Chips and Salsa, but we also ordered the Crispy Onion String & Jalapeño Stack.  I could have ate the whole stack by myself and it was huge!  Also, I want to add that I don’t like jalapeños but they were easy to pick off.  After our two appetizers we received our entrees.  I got the Chicken Club tacos which are three flour tacos filled with grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce and ancho-chile ranch dressing.  It comes with a side of rice and beans and was delicious!  My husband had the Steakhouse Sandwich, which is seasoned sliced sirloin, with provolone, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, arugula and horseradish cream on warm flatbread.   He loved it and still cannot believe how big of a sandwich it was and how tasty the steak was.

My sons split the Pepper Pals Corn Dog Meal and they were more than happy with it!  Finally, my sister got the Boneless Buffalo Chicken Salad.  This salad used to be my favorite but I decided to expand my choices and try other entrees out!  The salad contains applewood smoked bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, tortilla strips, house-made pico de gallo and ranch dressing.  It is to die for!  To finish off the meal we all shared a Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie, which is a chewy bar of chocolate chips, walnuts and coconut. Topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and caramel.

Overall, we had an awesome dinner at a reasonable price.  We all ate for about $50 and had leftovers!  I always receive great service at Chili’s and the atmosphere in general is friendly and inviting.  I also love that I can eat at Chili’s just because or for a special occasion as it offers such a wide selection of entrees and drinks!
