What do Health, Home, Pet, Auto, and Life all have in common? All of them can be purchased for insurance reasons. Whether you are looking for personal or rates for business insurance, it can definitely be confusing. I remember when I first went on my own for auto insurance just trying to understand my coverage and what deductible I should have. Then when I had to get my own health insurance that was even more confusing because there were so many different policies and options to choose from, I didn’t know which was best. I would say homeowners insurance was the easiest for me to purchase because I just went with the company that provides our auto insurance and said I want to insure my house and I barely had to answer any questions. They just insured my house for a certain value and set up my deductible.
Right now I am fortunate as everything is set up and I hopefully don’t have to change anything in the near future. I am in Illinois and everything seems pretty basic here, I did read recently about how it is more complicated in California, especially if you are looking for insurance for business in California. Luckily I am not moving to California anytime soon nor am I starting a business! If you have any insurance questions, I did find a great resource website called III.org, which stands for Insurance Information Institute.
