StaphAseptic Review (& US/CAN Giveaway Ends 7/21)

ABOUT:

StaphAseptic is a greaseless, non-staining gel that provides soothing minor wound care without stinging or irritation.  It contains lidocaine for effective pain relief.  StaphAseptic is one tool in the fight to help prevent skin infections caused by bacteria such as MRSA and other germs.  It is a prevention method rather than a treatment or cure for existing infection.  It is to be used on minor wounds, not those requiring medical attention.

Staph Prevention Program:

  1. Treat and cover wounds
  2. Don’t share personal items (like towels)
  3. Shower after physical activity
  4. Properly clean gear and equipment
  5. Keep hands clean
  6. Consult your physician for all active wounds

MY THOUGHTS:

Okay so my boys fall down a lot in general and in the summer time it is constant that one of them has a new cut or bruise.  What I like about StaphAseptic is that it is an easy to use pain relieving gel that helps prevent skin inventions from bacteria, such as MRSA, staph, strep and other germs.  It is basically a first aid antiseptic that you put on minor cuts, scrapes, insect bites and burns.  To use you just have to clean the affected area (boo boo), smooth on some of this gel, and put a Band-Aid on if you’d like.  It is non-irritating, at least my boys don’t mind it, and it is antibiotic free.  I did feel a slight tingling, no pain though, and it does have a antiseptic smell to it, but after a few minutes the smell is pretty non-existent.

I like that it is just an extra way for me to try to prevent infections and I figure it doesn’t hurt to use so why not use it.  I think it is an especially great product to carry around since the tube is small and convenient.

I also want to add that this product is not just to prevent staph infections, which I know the name may imply.  It is for skin infections, including staph.

BUY IT: StapAseptic is available in a 2ox. Tube or single use packets.  It is in the first aid aisle at local drug stores including CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens.
