So the other day, one of my friends was talking about this new Martial arts DVD she got. It is for beginners and it is not the crazy martial arts you see in movies or in extreme fighting, but it is easier. You see when I think of martial arts I immediately think of Jackie Chan or extreme martial arts, which my husband watches on TV. I guess I never really thought about how good of a workout it would be. I mean the guys for example in UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships) is all in great shape and they in my opinion take things to the extreme, but they are dedicated to working out.
I am planning on working out when my son starts preschool in a few weeks – I can’t believe summer is almost over! I figure it would be easier to exercise when I only have one kid at home. My two year old is so good when he is alone so I know I will be able to workout for a little bit. I hope to start out working out for thirty minutes and then moving it up to an hour. I don’t know yet if I will check out a Martial arts training or one of the other exercise DVDs I have now accumulated. I also have a treadmill (mind you it is very old) that I figure I can try out, since it has never been used! We bought it second hand and it does work but the spot we have it in has no tv and I would be staring at a blank wall. Oh and I also have my Nintendo Wii with quite a few exercise games to check out. (Yes, some of those are unopened still!) I figure though whatever I do, something is better than nothing!
