My “Cold/Flu Survival Kit” for my boys #PedialyteSingles

The cold weather is here and both my boys already have runny noses and coughs.  Last year they were both miserable all winter and were basically quarantined to the house.  This year I am being proactive and I made a Cold/Flu “Survival Kit.”  My kit contains:  Pedialyte Singles (they have a shelf life of up to 18 months), a new car (note to self to get an extra one so both boys have one), some Vapor Rub, coloring book, fruit snacks, tissues, and lotion.  The lotion is for their little noses since they always get crusty and raw, and to help with dry skin.

Now I remember in the past Pedialyte having a bad rap for tasting bad, but now they have been reformulated to taste better for kids and come in lots of yummy flavors.  My son didn’t mind the Apple flavor at all and thought the Pedialyte Singles in the Tetrapack was a regular juice box!  Now I know what works for my kids doesn’t work for everyone’s, so make sure you talk to a doctor if you are concerned or have additional questions.  I am hoping I don’t have to use Pedialyte anymore, but I figure if I have it on hand, then I probably won’t have to!
