MY THOUGHTS:

I love desserts, but I admit I am all about pre-made mixes and frostings.  I also try to cut back where I can because boxed mixes can be pretty unhealthy for you!  I have a new love though and it is the Duncan Hines Decadent Cakes and Glazes.  I got the chance to check out two mixes and glazes and am definitely impressed.  I made the Triple Chocolate Decadent Cake Mix and topped it with the Duncan Hines Chocolate Amazing Glazes and it was delicious!  The mix has 0g Trans Fat per serving, no Hydrogenated Oils, but includes real chocolate chunks and rich fudge.  All I had to add was water, three eggs, and some vegetable oil, mix and cook, and 30 minutes later I had a yummy cake!  There is also a recipe on the box to use the Cake Mix for Triple Chocolate Decadent Cupcakes, which looks awesome too!  The Amazing Glazes comes in a squeeze bottle and you just microwave and pour on your baked dessert.  It looks amazing and tastes delicious!

I also got the chance to check out the Apple Caramel Decadent Cake Mix with Vanilla Amazing Glazes topping.  Now I am not a big apple cake person, so I am saving this one for my dad’s birthday in mid-December.  I know he is going to love the Caramel Apple Decadent Cupcakes I make with the Vanilla Glaze.  There are even real apples and rich caramel in the mix, there is a Caramel Filling Pouch and a Cake Mix Pouch.  This mix again only needs water, three eggs, and some vegetable oil.

I love that Duncan Hines has come out with this new line of cake mixes and glazes so people like me who are baking-challenged can still make a delicious and rich dessert at an affordable price!  I bet my dad will think I made the Apple Caramel cupcakes from scratch when he tastes it because the Triple Chocolate Cake Mix tasted too good for a box mix!
