MY THOUGHTS:

For Christmas one present I always turn to (other than gift cards) are gift baskets.  I figure it is nice to give someone something a little of everything, but since I don’t always have the time for homemade gift baskets, I like checking out Gourmet Gift Baskets.  They do all the work for you and have their baskets organized by Holiday, Price, Theme, Most Popular and more!  With Gourmet Gift Baskets you can also pick out a basket and have it delivered the day you want.  So yes if you are remembering your mom’s birthday now by her a basket and schedule in advance the arrival date!  I love that because it is nice to get a gift on the actual birthday or holiday, and with Gourmet Gift Baskets you know you are sending a quality gift.  Their website also makes it super easy to shop as there are categories to choose from to help you narrow down your choices.  Each basket will also give a nice and full description of what’s inside so you know exactly what you are purchasing!

I got the chance to check out the Nutcracker Drum Christmas Gift Basket and it is so elegant I didn’t even want to open it.  First off, it comes in an adorable drum-like tin that can be re-used.  Inside it though was lots of great products that I love and since my son has a peanut allergy I brought this over to my moms to share with her.  The English Toffee Caramels were my favorite as was the Chocolate Peppermint Cookie Brittle by Holly Baking Co.  My loved all the nut products especially – Praline Pecans, Peanut Roll and Peanut Brittle.  There really was something inside for everyone to enjoy!

Overall, I think if you really want to send a special gift (and are sick of sending gift cards) or you even want to bring a nice gift to someone’s house, then Gourmet Gift Baskets is the way to go.  Their baskets and sets are made with gourmet products and they really do look so nice and classy.  It is also the gift that keeps on giving since the most sets come in a nice basket or container.  The food inside is also not off the wall products that no one wants, they really are delicious high quality products thrown together for a certain theme or occasion.  I also want to add that while many of the Gourmet Gift Baskets are somewhat pricey, you are paying for the high quality product and convenience or shipping it directly to someone.  They do though also have a “Under $25” section if you want something special still but don’t have a lot to spend.
