Kix Cereal “Kid-Tested, Mother-Approved” Review (& Giveaway Ends 11/29)

Did you know that 84% of parents turn to cereal with milk for a quick and healthy breakfast?  With my family, cereal makes everyone happy and I especially love the few dishes it leaves!  Luckily, I read that cereal is one of the healthiest breakfast choices parents can make.  Ready-to-eat cereal has fewer calories than amongst any other common breakfast option, while also being nutrient-dense and convenient. In addition, cereal eaters consume less cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters.

One cereal that has been pleasing parents and kids for more than 70 years now is Kix.  Whether you choose Original Kix or Honey Kix, both offer a wholesome breakfast with nutrients for growing kids.  Kix is most commonly known from the commercial slogan “Kid-Tested Mother-Approved,” I can still remember the commercials I think there were two boys at a table eating Kix.  What makes Kix “Mother-Approved” is it being made with whole grain corn, iron, calcium, fiber, and Vitamins C and D.  There are also no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

Honestly, Kix has been off my radar for quite some time.  Now though that my 2 year old has become a cereal-aholic, I have been buying healthier cereals that what I used to buy.  I forgot how good Kix was and I don’t think I ever tried the Honey Kix which is delicious!  It may not have marshmallows or fun shapes, but Kix has us with the flavor and once my son had he didn’t miss the colorful marshmallows.
