Crunch Art Mega Set Review (& Giveaway Ends 1/5)

Little Kids, Inc. has re-launched the popular brand of Crunch Art craft activity kids.  With Crunch Art, kids can make incredible art creations without the cutting, the gluing ot the mess!  Design colorful projects with fabric and foam!  Simply place a pre-shaped foam template on the Crunch board and use the Cruncher to press colorful fabric swatches in the foam.  Hear the “Crunch!” from the board and see the magical burst of color!  It’s fun, safe & simple to use.  Imagine it…Crunch it…Create it!

There are three different Crunch Art sets with multiple projects in each kit – Activity Set, Mega Set, and Room Decor.  The kits range from $4.99 to $14.99.

MY THOUGHTS:

Now I am not a crafty mom so I rely on kits and simple craft ideas.  When I first saw the Crunch Art Mega Set and read that it didn’t require scissors or glue, I was excited because my boys are only 2 and 3 years old. The kit comes with everything needed for hours of Crunch Art fun to make five projects.  There are 200 pieces of fabric, a Cruncher, Crunch Board, googly eyes and ribbon to decorate and display projects.  It is recommended for ages 4 and up, so my boys didn’t quite gasp the concept but I helped them with it.

All you do is pick which of the five patterns you are going to build, place it on the big foam board and use a plastic tool to push little squares of felt into it.  The process is pretty easy and everything is pre-cut and ready to go.  Now I do wish there was other shape patterns you could make but the ones the set comes with are nice too.  Then when you are done you can tie a ribbon through the hole at the top to hang up.  We put two on our tree as ornaments!  I will say though you do have to really push to get the fabric in and to stay in place but it does stay pretty well after that.  It is such a simple idea yet I can really see the creative juices flowing with making patterns and using different colors.  I think this would be a great set for any child looking for something to do, especially during the wintertime!
