MY THOUGHTS:

My sons are starting to really like books (finally) and the more interactive the book, the better.  Whether it be musical, pop-up, have flaps to open or just really great illustrations, they need the book to be exciting for them. I got the chance to review a Silver Dophin book called “Peter Pan” and it is amazing!

When I first opened this pop-up book, I didn’t know what to expect, but it certainly wasn’t music!  Yes not only does the book have beautiful illustrations but also music/sounds on different pages.  The book is magical!  My 2 and 3 year old were amazed at the book and even though I haven’t had a chance to read the story to them yet (because they are so excited about the music and pop-ups) they love it.  I think this would be a great gift for any child, Peter Pan fan or not.  The illustrations though are beautifully done and you can tell some thought went into designing this book.  Even adults that love Peter Pan this would be a great collectors item for them!  Overall, I am so glad I got the chance to check out a book from Silver Dolphin Books or I may have missed out on them.  Oh and yes you can change the batteries if you need to in the back of the book.  The pages are also thicker so they don’t tear (at least not easily) when kids grab them to touch and look at them!
