Chicago Wolves: Family Friendly Hockey Game Review

My husband is a huge hockey fan and can’t wait to get our boys into hockey.  Since we are from Chicago, we are big Blackhawks fans, but since my boys are little it doesn’t make sense to spend all the money on a Blackhawks game for the four of us.  The Chicago Wolves is a perfect family night for any hockey fan and it is best of all affordable.  You get the same hockey experience, but in my opinion you get more!

We got the chance to attend a Chicago Wolves game and we started the night with the Free Fun Fest which occurs before every Saturday game from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Allstate Arena Skyline room.  It was a huge room with a DJ, bean bags, Legos, coloring sheets, face painting, equipment to try on, and places to take photos.  Everything was free and a great way to start off a hockey game!

The game started at 7:00 pm but right before the game was an awesome firework and flame show!  My boys were amazed and actually now they associate hockey with “Boom Booms” (fireworks.)  Now it was game time which the crowd went wild and the whole atmosphere was family friendly and fun!  I admit I am not a big hockey fan, but I really got into it and it was a great family night for us!  We will definitely be attending more games in the future, especially with their affordable prices of around $13 a ticket, with $30 a ticket for really good seats!  They also have a Fan 4 Pack, which includes four (4) hot dogs and four (4) medium sodas. Starting at only $63! Available for weekend games only.

Overall, we had a great time.  I wish my boys had lasted to the end because every Saturday after the game fans can hang out by the Chicago Wolves locker room to get autographs.  Between the Fun Fest, Fireworks, enthusiastic mascot, and just a fun atmosphere throughout the game and halftime, the tickets are well worth it.  The Chicago Wolves offer a great family experience or even just a fun date night!
