ABOUT:
To make traveling with kids less stressful, Hyatt Resorts has come out with a new program called Hyatt Resorts Toy Box. Upon checking in to a Hyatt Resorts hotel, parents can borrow from the 24 different toys they carry. The toys are for kids from toddlers to tweens, and there are even some family games to enjoy! The program – powered by Toy Tips, a respected independent toy testing company that helped Hyatt choose the right toys for the program — includes must-have toys and games from companies you know, like Ravensburger. Known for superior quality toys, games and puzzles, Ravensburger has THREE toys in the Hyatt Resorts Toy Box, including:
• Katie Camper’s Holiday Friends – This WOW brand preschool toy features an 11-piece friction-powered camper with two characters, a dog and accessories, including beds, a mirror, tent, barbecue grill and picnic table. The camper opens to reveal a home setting and the back of the camper can be unhooked from its magnetic trailer. Ages 1½–5 years
• Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike – This toy from the WOW preschool toy range features a friction-powered cement mixer truck with realistic engine sounds. The three-piece set offers a clear outer drum with a friction motor that rotates the inner cement drum with colors and sound. The detachable barrier can be fixed to the back of the truck for storage. Ages 1½–5 years
• Jungle Jive – An “egg-citing” and award-winning balancing game that will have everyone “monkeying” around! Jungle Jive challenges players to complete a series of creative and silly activities and exercises while holding onto an amazing “egg” with their hands or feet. When a player tips the egg too far, the laughing bird inside lets them know! Ages 6+
The Hyatt Resorts Toy Box toy-lending program is available free to hotel guests. Upon checking in, guests receive a Toy Box book listing all 24 available toys from which they may choose. Once the toys are returned, they are inspected, cleaned and repaired, as needed, so every child receives a toy or game in pristine condition.
MY THOUGHTS:
First off, I think this program is awesome and I definitely would consider Hyatt Resorts just for the toy program alone next time we travel as a family. With two boys, I am constantly dragging in a bag of toys for them to play with in the room because there is nothing worse than being cooped up in a room with a 2 and 3 year old who have nothing to do! The problem with carrying toys is carting them in our car or luggage if we are flying, and then making sure we bring them all back home with us!
So not only does Hyatt Resorts offer toys, but they are no ordinary toys, they are high quality hand selected toys. With Ravensburger offering three toys I know that the toys will be appropriate and durable for my kids to play with. We have other Ravensburger toys at home so it is nice to have a familiar brand of toys with us when we are on vacation!
Since I have two boys I new the Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike Cement Mixer would be absolutely perfect. It is a toy first off that requires no batteries – just imagination! I was worried my sons would get bored since it doesn’t light up or play music, but it does make an engine sound when you play with it. My sons have been zooming it back and forth with their other construction toys and it fits in perfect. It is the perfect size for their little hands and they love the bright colors on it. The Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike Cement Mixer is really the perfect toy for any child! It is also just one of the great toys you can check out on your next stay at Hyatt Resorts!
