NMEDA can help disabled or eldery get back behind the wheel

NMEDA is a not a company that will try to sell you anything.  They are a non-profit trade association that educates consumers on buying products from a NMEDA qualified dealer.  It is the only association right now that promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people.  All the members are required to adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  The NMEDA dealers (members) are the ones who sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for disabled people.

Since no two disabled people are exactly the same, a personalized “in-person” evaluation can help drivers be sure they are getting the right driving solution for their lifestyle and needs.  Additional training or product refinements can be checked out at a NMEDA dealer.

NMEDA also is separated into two categories:  Dealers and Quality Assurance Program (QAP) dealers.  The Quality Assurance Program is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry.  It is set up to consistently satisfy customers and companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.  Since being a caregiver is also tough, a NMEDA qualified dealer could help out.  They are basically there to help the elderly or disabled get back onto the road of independence.
