Old London Melba Snacks Review

My family and I are big snackers and we seem to snack on pretty unhealthy foods all winter.  Come summer we are better and eat more fruit and crackers, but winter’s comfort snacks are usually chips, candy, and fried food.  So lately I have been on the lookout for healthier snack options.

Old London, the makers of melba toast products, are made with all-natural ingredients and whole grains to satisfy that mid-day snack time, especially when paired with cheese or salsa.

I got the chance to try out three varieties of Old London snacks:  Sea Salt Melba Snacks, Spicy Cheddar Bagel Chips, and Sesame Melba Toast.  Each variety has its own texture and flavor but they do at least have some flavor.  I do think they are better to snack on and I am encouraged to add healthy toppings on them like apples and cheese.

I will say they are not my favorite when their plain, but with some mango salsa or cheese spread, I don’t mind them.  When the snacks are plain (which is obviously when they are probably healthier) they just seem dry to me.  I do really like though the texture and size, as they are just the right size for dipping or spreading and they are perfectly crunchy.  I think they would be great with some cheese or lunch meat on them for an appetizer too!
