PDF or Doc?

I have never really understood a PDF document, but slowly I am starting to understand the benefits.  The main benefit, at least to me, is that the information cannot be edited.  I like to scan tax documents or other important docs that I don’t want to have the ability to be edited and then save them as PDF’s.  I also like this for when I have to fill out a W2 online to scan and email to a company I am working with as an independent contractor.  Certain documents should be left as is, while others definitely need to be able to be edited.  Luckily my scanner has a feature that allows me to save then Create PDF documents.

I know though not everyone has a fancy printer like me (mine’s not really fancy but it is newer) so you may need to use the Acrobat Create PDF feature online.  When in doubt of how you want to save a document, whther as a traditional .doc or a .pdf, just think about how important it is.  Now I am sure there are ways or software to edit PDF documents but I figure why make it any easier for scam artists out there.
