MY THOUGHTS:

This vacuum rocks!  Dirt Devil is a classic brand and I have always had good luck with their products and the Total Vision is no exception.  It is a lightweight vacuum that has adjustable settings to go from bare floors to high carpeting by turning a knob.  Next it is bagless which is great because I hate the thought of having to buy bags, this container easily empties in into the garbage with the push of a button.  Oh and there is a washable HEPA filter that does not need to be replaced.  There is a great variety of attachment tools including the Turbo Tool that is absolutely great for quickly and efficiently cleaning carpeting or furniture.

With a 120 inch stretchy hose it is great to clean stairs and higher areas without carrying the vacuum around.  I like how the overall design is though as it is a great height to push, lightweight to carry, narrow to store but still includes a wide path nozzle to vacuum a good size area with each push.

I found using the Total Vision to be easy and efficient.  I love that I can go from hardwood to carpeting with ease and that it doesn’t struggle when pushed on carpeting.  I have used other vacuums before on carpeting that were hard to push or didn’t really pick up anything; the Total Vision does a great job.  I did have some issues with one of the wand that kept detaching but I think I wasn’t clicking it in tight enough.  I can’t think of anything else I would change though as it really is a great vacuum.

I will say though if you have pets or a lot of carpeting to vacuum, the canister might have to be emptied more often, but it works great.  For the price of $70 it would be a great vacuum for most households and families.  It would also be great for keeping as an extra vacuum, which in bigger households is a great asset.  I know I hate dragging a vacuum up and down stairs and with the price of this vacuum it makes it feasible to purchase.  Overall, I really like this vacuum and am impressed with how well it sucks up dirt and maneuvers around.

BUY IT: The Dirt Devil Total Vision (UD70220) is available at Wal-Mart’s nationwide or at DirtDevil.com for $69.99.
