Displaying Knick Knacks…

The other day I was at my aunt’s house and really paid attention to her corner curio cabinet.  I never really realized how nice it actually is and how elegant her Precious Moments collection looks in there.  Then I started to feel bad because she has been purchasing Precious Moments figurines and I have them in a box.  I haven’t even opened many of them, but do have good intentions.  Until this house, I knew we’d be moving around and I didn’t have any where nice to display knick knacks so I kept them packed away.

Now that I am settled in our final house, I am ready to check out some curios and see what matches with our décor.  Then again I should probably wait a few more years for the kids to get out of the “I have to touch everything in sight” phase!  I have a beautiful dining room/living room area that one of the wall curio cabinets styles would look perfect in.  I think nice knick knacks can really pop under soft lighting in a glass cabinet and it is a shame me just keeping all these beautiful knick knacks packed away!  Then though I think of how it is one more area for me to dust and it seems like it be will time consuming!
