Lately both boys have been crawling into bed with us and our Queen size bed just does not seem big enough! We bought our bedroom set when we bought our first house (before kids) and I love it. Our set includes our Queen bed, long dresser with mirror, nightstand and armoire. We also found a matching long oval mirror. So I was thinking since it has only been six years that maybe the furniture store still has our set for sale and we can upgrade to a King sized bed. It would be weird thought just to look at beds for sale and not whole sets. Then I think what a waste our Queen bed would be since we would have to buy new furniture to match it for the extra bedroom.
(I wish!)
Then my husband had a great idea – he said once this baby (yes the one I am still pregnant with) is ready for a big bed, we will give her our bedroom set and buy a cheap bedroom furniture set for ourselves. What a great idea! I mean she will need a new bedroom set anyways once she is past the nursery bed stage. My boys are already set as we got a bedroom furniture for kids set (twin bunk beds and dresser) when we moved into our current house. I am sure they might be a little jealous that their younger sister has a bigger bed, but my husband assures me that boys don’t care.
So for now we will stick to what we have and make it work. I have been locking the kids door so they can’t wander in our room and we now lay down in their beds with them if they wake up in the middle of the night.
