MY THOUGHTS:

We have well water in our house and while our water doesn’t taste too bad, I know there are tons of contaminants in it that I don’t want my family drinking.  I have also been worried about giving our new baby the faucet water in her bottles.  The Culligan Undersink Water Filter is a great start to removing contaminants from your water and my husband had it installed himself within a few hours.  It does come with the Level 3 Advanced Filtration but there is also a Level 4 Premium Filtration you can buy.  The cartridges retail for between $20-$30 and does need to be replaced about every 6 months, but I still think it is a lot cheaper than buying bottled water or water jugs.

 

Culligan US-EZ-3 Undersink Water Filter

The Culligan US-EZ-3 Undersink Water Filter is a Level 3 Advanced Filtration system.  It comes with a RC-EZ-3 Cartridge which lasts 6 months (or 500 gallons) but there are other cartridge options you can use.  The faucet is NSF certified, available in 20 attractive finishes to match any décor, and uses a revolutionary twist-on, twist off easy cartridge change-out.  It provides clear, clean refreshing water for drinking and cooking.

The overall installation like I said took my husband about four hours, mainly that long because it came with a plastic piece that my husband ended up going to the local hardware store and replacing it with a metal piece.  We were also fortunate to have a hole already on our sink base to install the faucet through so my husband didn’t have to do any cutting.  The Culligan Undersink Water Filter hooks directly under your sink onto your existing water line and doesn’t require an outlet, which is nice because we do not have an outlet under there.

As far as tastes and quality go, I do notice a difference and while the water out of the faucet doesn’t come out as fast as our sink, I know there are less containment’s in it.  My boys also love filling their cups with it because its smaller and easier to use than our regular faucet.
