I am a Computer Desk-aholic!

Its funny how I when I visit my parents house I see three of my old desks being used.  Yes I was a bit of a computer desks snob and kept changing it up.  I also had different desks for different computers and layouts of my apartments and rooms.  It seems like such a waste when I look back but at the times it was a necessity I guess to buy a new one.

My first desk was a basic desk with nothing fancy.  Then I moved to a roll-top computer desk but when I got a hand-me down king sized waterbed, I had to buy one of those very small corner computer desks for home use.  It had no writing space but enough room for the monitor and CPU.  My brother now uses that desk for his laptop.  Next, I had a big “L” desk with a hutch that I loved but it was too big for the space we were moving it to so I passed that down to my other brother who uses it now.  I got a hand-me down basic desk but it had nice drawers on the sides but it didn’t match the rest of our office furniture so I passed that on to my sister who uses it as a vanity!

Then when my husband and I bought our current house I decided to finally buy a desk and stick with it.  We bought matching desks that also match our two filing cabinets and bookcases.  Our office is finally matching, but since it is upstairs I don’t get to use it much since I am downstairs with the kids.  To solve that problem, I have been looking at a laptop desk for small spaces to put in our living room that would be basic enough for my laptop and not big enough to get cluttered with stuff!  I know I said no more desks but it would be nice to have somewhere on the main level to work while the kids play in the playroom!

Is there any furniture that you keep replacing?
