Kalorik 15L Toaster Oven Review (& Giveaway Ends 7/18)

ABOUT:

Kalorik, first established in 1930 in Belgium, has become know for their fine engineering and unique product development.  They were one of Europe’s first manufacturers of small electric appliances, beginning with electric toasters.  Today, Kalorik is a second-generation industry leader.  They have a passion to create superior products, stay current with trends, and maintain cutting edge manufacturing facilities.

Kalorik 15L Toaster Oven

With its spacious 15-liter capacity, this convenient toaster oven makes it easy to keep up with the demands of any busy household. Its user-friendly control panel offers three dials for setting the heat, time, and function. The oven’s temperature can be adjusted up to 450 degrees F, and its 30-minute timer shuts the unit off automatically after the elapsed time or can be set to the “stay-on” position. Use the toaster oven for anything from toasting up to four slices of bread at breakfast time to broiling a chicken, baking a casserole, or even a 9-inch pizza for dinner. Other highlights include toast-shade control from light to dark, a stainless-steel control panel and heating elements, black painted housing, a nonstick interior, an “on” indicator light, and a heat-resistant glass door for viewing the cooking process at a glance. Accessories include a broiling pan, broiling rack, a wire rack, and a slide-out crumb tray. The 1500-watt toaster oven measures 15-3/4 by 12 by 9-1/4 inches.

MY THOUGHTS:

I had honestly never heard of Kalorik until I found myself looking around for a new toaster oven online.  Ours was about six years old and had definitely seen better days.  We do use our toaster oven constantly and I can’t even imagine not owning one.

The first thing I noticed about the Kalorik 15L Toaster Oven was its modern and sleek design – black and stainless steel, which fits in perfectly with my kitchen.  It has three knobs so its not complicated to use either – temperature, cooking type, and timer.  The temperature setting goes all the way up to 450, with heat-resistant glass door luckily, and the timer can be set to up to 30 minutes (there is a continuous cooking option though too.)  The middle knob lets you control the heat from inside, depending on if you want to toast, broil, or bake.

When I put it on my counter I immediately loved its size, not too big that it took up my whole counter space but yet big enough to still make the meals and items I needed it to.  It also had a decent length cord so if you don’t have an outlet directly behind the appliance you have a little wiggle room.  Our old one was big and bulky and I never realized what wasted space it took up.  We use ours daily for toast, small pizzas (only up to 9 inches, but great for those small individual pizzas), frozen appetizers (yummy mozzarella sticks), garlic bread and more.  I mean why turn on the whole big oven for a small tray of something, the toaster oven heats up much faster and doesn’t emit all the heat like stoves do.    It is also so much easier to clean this toaster oven than a big oven – just pull out the crumb tray and dump and wipe the nonstick interior if needed!

BUY IT: The 15L Toaster Oven can be purchased directly from Kalorik for $89.99 (suggested price of $149.99) or just shop around all their other great small appliances!
