MY THOUGHTS:

My boys are Cars fanatics and this set made their day!  It actually worked out great for us because for my son’s 3^rd birthday last month he received two of the other Cars 2 stunt sets (there are 4 total) so it was nice to add this to our collection.  I will say though you don’t need the other sets to have fun, they all work independent of each other or can be connected for more stunt fun.

Tokyo Spinout is a decent size set that has four fun actions to it:  Launch, Spinout, Race, and Crash!  While the track is pretty straight and not too long, I like that it has all those actions packed in because it makes it more fun for a smaller toy.  While we do have room to spread out toys and race tracks, I prefer not too but usually the smaller the track the less exciting the toy.  The track then has six features to it:  Pagoda Pit Stop, Dual Tracks, Two Spinning Platforms, Landing Zones, Crash Flipper, Lighting McQueen exit.  You will probably want another Cars 2 car since you can dual race and the set only comes with one car, but you don’t have to. I tried a regular Hot Wheels car and it worked pretty good, not perfect but good enough for now.

You can then add the other four sets if you like but you don’t have to have the others to enjoy Tokyo Spinout.  We actually have the Barrel Blowout and Spy Jet Escape Set, and Tokyo Spinout is my sons’ favorite thus far.  It is for ages 4 and up and while my boys can play with it on their own, I did have to help them set it up.  Once it is set up though it is pretty set.  You do have to reconnect the spinner part each time but my boys have gotten the hang of clicking it into place.  My boys definitely love to race and spin out with this set and I think out of all the stunt sets this one has the most features!  Oh and the best feature is that it doesn’t require any batteries!  I was going to take a video of this but it goes so fast the video would only be a few seconds.

BUY IT:  Look for the Cars 2 Tokyo Spinout Track Set at your local toy store or mass retailer.
