DaGeDar Review (& Giveaway Ends 8/26) #DaGeDar

ABOUT:

DaGeDar (pronounced DAH-geh-DAAR) is a game of speed, challenge and above all racing.  It is unlike any other toy out there.  Each DaGeDar is a ball with a steel core center and a cool character graphic and code.  It is a game where “House Rules” rule.  Players are called “Ballers” and each Baller will want to control the speed and velocity in order to perfectly propel the ball through the track set’s loops without falling out.  You can also master the spinners or enjoy battle-play with the fierce launchers.  Ballers can create their own stunts and tricks, with the options of game-play being endless and largely up to the Baller’s own creativity and imagination.

The DaGeDar Story:

DaGeDar is a brand new; a phenomenon that has just landed.  DaGeDar are spirit-like entities driven by their desire to race.  DaGeDar reside in Dimension 33, a place previously unknown to humans.  DaGeDAr enter the Earth’s dimension to race so theat their spirit can break free, and each DaGeDar is fueled by a personal motivation.  Whether they race for glory, fame, money, power, skill, knowledge, etc. – one thing is certain:  They must race to accomplish their ultimate quest.

MY THOUGHTS:

First off I will admit that DaGeDar is a strange name but it is definitely an interesting product.  I knew we would like because it is from Cepia, the makers of ZhuZhu Pets and we love our ZhuZhu’s!

My boys and I got hooked the first time we dropped the ball on the track.  It is so much fun to create different speeds and stunts, not to mention addicting!

I got the chance to review a DaGeDar track set, DaGeDar basic ball set, DaGeDar launcher DaGeDar spinner and Carrying Case.

My boys love the designs on the different balls and my 3 year old especially hoards the balls!  The track is pretty easy to set up and once its up, it pretty much stays in place.  My boys though were able to take it apart and play with the different track pieces themselves.   You do have to lean the track against something but you can be creative, especially with the pitch.  Their favorite part though was experimenting with the pitch of the track whether it be straight up or different angles.  Then since there are two tracks to start off with the DaGeDar steel core balls on the track, just drop them off and watch them Go!  Then halfway through the track the balls go into one track which is where you see who the winner is!  (I will say though be careful with the balls because they are steel and can cause damage if they were to hit something or someone!)  The different accessories like the Launcher and Spinner make for more interesting playtime.  The Launcher really launched the balls and honestly made me nervous letting my 3 and 4 year old use it so we stuck with the track set and spinner.  The spinner is pretty cool as it is simple as it spins the ball and makes it more exciting. Finally, the Carrying Case is my 4 year old’s favorite because it stores his balls and makes it easy to carry them around, he is amazed too at how the balls fall into it!

Overall, my boys really like DaGeDar and I think it is a nice break from the traditional car race track sets we have.  The balls do scare me because they are steel and can be dangerous but so far the balls have been used as they should.  I think they like the designs too much to throw the balls and risk loosing them!
