Smart Play Sounds Amazing Review (& Giveaway Ends 9/14)

MY THOUGHTS:

I few weeks ago I got the chance to check out the Smart Play Smart Projector and my boys have used it almost every day, they love it!  I couldn’t believe I had never heard of Smart Play before but I am glad I know about them now, especially since they have another amazing product called Sounds Amazing.

Experience the amazing sounds that surround us. A fun way to discover 100 everyday sounds. Children will be delighted to hear sounds that come to life when barcodes are scanned by using the Smart Pen. Crystal clear technology teaches animals, musical instruments, vehicles, machinery and nature sounds. The sounds are recorded in high fidelity and are very realistic. 50 double sided learning cards are included for hours of learning fun.

Features:

• The smart pen is just the right size for little hands, it is easy to hold and has a rubberized finish for a very tactile feel

Sounds Amazing is a great toy that takes flash cards to a new level.  In this set you receive one Interactive Pen and 50 Double-sided Lesson Each lesson card contains facts and the word in both English and Spanish.  The bottom of the card has a barcode which you scan with the Interactive Pen to hear a sound.  It would be nice if the pen also read the card but it just plays the sound of the item you are scanning.

• Transportation
• Musical Instruments
• Machinery
• Nature
• Sports
• Others (Boiling water, firecracker, bottle rocket, knock, snore, sneeze, yawn and doorbell)

The Interactive pen does require three AAA batteries (which are not included) and then you are ready to go.  You just swipe the pen across the barcode and a sound is played.  I did have some difficulties scanning some cards, but it could have just been user error!  My boys loved the Machinery cards and their sounds.  Even if you don’t use the Interactive Pen, the cards are great to use as traditional flash cards.  They are even made of a glossy thicker paper so they are a little more durable.  I know my boys will be using these quite a lot as they are learning some of these items in school now so it will go along with that.
