Dremel Multi-Max Cordless Review (& Giveaway Ends 10/5)

ABOUT:

Dremel is a company that makes long lasting products with an almost endless list of uses for their tools.  There are three Dremel tools available:  Rotary, Multi-Max, Trio, and Saw-Max.  The tools allow you to do a variety of projects around your house including:  cut, sand, repair, restore and more depending on which Dremel tool you are using.  The tools work on all sorts of different materials and there are accessories to add onto your tools.

MY THOUGHTS:

My husband is by no means a handyman, but he can do basic stuff around the house and he knows his limitations.  Out of the Dremel products available, I knew the Multi-Max would be one he would use the most.  The Multi-Max is used for cutting, grinding, sanding, scraping, and grout removal.

First off, I love that this tool comes in its own plastic case to store everything so our garage stays just a little bit cleaner!  It is also much easier to grab and take with you – no more searching for pieces and accessories.  My husband loves the 12 –volt Lithium-Ion batteries (yes you get two of them and a one-hour charger!)  Holding the Multi-Max is comfortable and overall it is really easy to use.  He was super excited to use it for grout removal, but it actually only comes with pads for sanding so he needs to pick up the grout tool accessories at the local hardware store.  So because he was super excited to test it out, he put on the sanding paper and started smoothing out this piece of wood we use as a tabletop.  The wood had gotten a little scratachy and I was worried about splinters, so it was super nice that my husband was able to smooth this out within minutes.  Sanding is just one of the projects you can tackle and my husband can’t wait to try the Dremel Multi-Max out in other areas of our house!

It really is a versatile tool and I admit it is fun.  I am typically afraid of power tools but the Multi-Max is not big or clunky, but is easy to hold and use, not to mention comfortable.  I felt like I could maybe do a few projects of my own!  Our next big project is grout removal as we will be re-tiling our bathroom, and I know the Multi-Max is going to definitely come in handy.  Normally my husband would have to take out the grout by hand (maybe with a chisel) so a power tool like the Multi-Max is going to at least save my husband from a few headaches!  There are just so many different accessories you can purchase for it too that my husband’s eyes lit up when he realized how much one tool could do.
