Educational Insights: KaBAM! Review (& Giveaway Ends 9/26)

MY THOUGHTS:

Word games are my favorite, probably because they are usually the games I can win it!  My husband rocks at Monopoly and I rock at Scrabble, KaBAM! is a game that we both liked though because of the speed and wordplay.

KaBAM!

KaBAM! is a word spelling fast-playing game that can be played with as little as 2 players (up to 4 players.)  The recommended ages are 7 to Adult but I think it would be fun for younger kids learning to spell and create words.

The way you play is each player draws a card and places them next to each other.  Then the players quickly need to come up with a word uses those two letters!  For example, if the cards “W” and “A” were dealt out then a player could yell “WATER!”  The letters don’t have to be at the beginning, but just somewhere together in the word.  The player who calls out a word first wins the cards and the player (or team) that collects the most cards wins the game!  It reminds me of the card game WAR but with letters and spelling!  I really like word games so this one was right up my alley!  So far I have just played it with my husband since my boys are too young, but we enjoyed it and I know it will be a hit when my boys are a little bit bigger!
