MY THOUGHTS:

When I came across Patch Products, I could not believe how many fun products they have and how many I have seen and played with not even realizing they were from Patch Products.  I would have to say my favorite of all time toy is Wooly Willy which is definitely a classic and one of the original toys from when I was little- this is one of those that toys that Patch Products acquired after the acquisition of Smethport Specialty Co. and Lauri Brand products.

With winter coming up though I know we will be looking for fun activities both inside and in the car since we tend to have a lot of places to go during the holidays.  Patch has come out with an awesome set of kits called Design ‘N’ Doodle which combines two activities in one─ magnetic play and drawing with dry-erase! They are available in five selections: SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Silly Zoo, Runway Model or Cool Rides.  They all look fun but my youngest absolutely loves cars so it was really no contest!

Design ‘N’ Doodle combines two activities in one – imaginative magnetic play and expressive drawing with dry-erase! Each set includes a colorful 2-sided 14″ x 9″ play surface that folds up and has a handle for travel. It can also be set up as an easel! This kit is perfect for a young kid!  It is two-sided with a dirt race track on one and a road/blank dry erase board on another.  Then you get four dry erase markers and three sheets of car magnets.  My 3 year old loves this kit and can sit for a good amount of time matching up cars and doodling.  We actually keep it in the car and he uses it mainly when in his car seat!  Then he carries it into restaurants with him as it even has a carrying handle!  Everything fits nicely inside and velcros closed.  I do wish there was a pouch or something to keep all the pieces together as there are some small magnets that with tossing around could slide off, but overall the kit is great.  I love that it is not only magnets but also dry erase for extra fun.  At under $10 this is a great activity kit for a rainy day or just a surprise gift!
