The Giant Pegboard is a two-sided pegboard. The pegs are easy-to- grip pegs of different colors and shapes. One side  of the pegboard is great for sorting, stacking, counting and matching the colors and shapes.  The other side has raised pegs (geoboard) for creating geometric designs with rubber bands (not included, not recommended for children under 3). It also includes 12 two sided activity pattern cards, for both side of the boards.

Promotes skills for pre-math and pre-readings.

MY THOUGHTS:

This pegboard is awesome.  It comes with 25 pegs featuring five different colors and shapes.  One of the sets of pegs is even clear with little beads inside that rattle because we all know kids love things that make noise.  The pegs stack on top of each other or fit them around the board for fun designs and sorting activities.  You can have kids sort by colors, shapes or create bigger shapes on the board like a big triangle or square.

The other side of the pegboard is raised pegs perfect for more fun!  You put rubberbands across the pegs to make designs or play little games.  What I like is that there is a set of activity cards that give you ideas for patterns or games to play with the pegs.  The cards are perfect for little challenges or ideas!  Really the possibilities are endless for this pegboard as you can sort, match, add, subtract, learn shapes and colors and more!  It is rated at 19 months and up but the pieces are big enough that I could see a 1 year old liking it!  My boys are 3 and 4 and had fun stacking and building on the pegboard and when they saw that they could put rubberbands on the other side they were amazed!
