Help o.b. Donate to Women in Developing Countries #obhuru

Did you know that for millions of girls, sanitary protection is a luxury item?  When I think about all the packages of tampons and pads I have in my storage right now that I had purchased on sale or free, I feel terrible that other girls cannot afford them.  I cannot even imagine not having them and what the girls in developing countries must go through without them.

Huru International has been providing a cost-effective solution to the lack of sanitary protection through their organization.  They provide girls with the resources and knowledge they need, including sanitary protection to complete their education and safeguard their health.

Huru Kits are provided to at-risk girls at no cost.  Each Huru kit comes packaged in a drawstring bag that doubles as a backpack, and includes sanitary pads, underwear soap and more.

To help out, o.b. has created the Share It Forward program in Facebook.  It is an application through women can help raise money for Huru International by sharing a message with their network of friends about Huru International’s mission.   The o.b. Brand hopes that o.b. users and women in general will help raise $25,000 for Huru International which equals 1,000 Huru Kits (or 8,000 reusable sanitary pads.)  For every user who shares the Huru message with their network of friends through Facebook, the o.b. brand will donate $1 to huru.
